Buff brought out a new version of everyone’s favourite multiuse item, this time in Merino Wool. Mine weighs 51 g and is indeed a very nice piece of gear. Longer than the synthetic version, less smelly, better microclimate management and more UV resistant. Ah ja, its also quite water repellant, as I was able to test today. Nice piece of kit, should prove useful now in the coming winter.
I've been seriously thinking about a buff. Having a merino wool option is just enough to get me to commit.

Erm, this is the only piece of British Army gear I kept (except my NI combat boots) when I moved to the states… looks suspiciously like a Buff and is only 2 GBP (about $3.50). Not quite so fancy, but VERY warm and VERY durable.
