I am going to puchase one of these tents but a little confused with the 2 different fly options….Basically the extreme tent does not meet fire guidleines but the other fly option does.
Is this worth worrying about ? Surely getting the better fly is beneficial as its lighter ? Does anyone have any opionions on this, below are the manufactruers details
Non-Extreme models‘ rainfly fabric is strong, lightweight ripstop polyester: UV-resistant and meets CPAI-84 flame retardant guidelines. Extra strong PU coatings on the fabric‘s underside offer long wearing waterproofness.
Extreme models‘ fly fabric is a strong, super lightweight, double silicone coated ripstop nylon: improved UV- and tear-resistance. However, silicone coated fabrics do not meet CPAI-84 fire retardant guidelines. (See tent models for specifics).
