Hi All,

I wanted to post a few quick picks of my new shelter. I bought the Alpinlite Bug Tent 1.5 from the BPL forums and the Tarp is a brand new item from Alpinlite. The set includes the Bug Tent 1.5, Tyvek groundcloth, tarp, optional nanolite front and foot poles and stakes. Pretty simple to pitch, I need to move the bugtent forward about 5 inches and it'd be perfect. As I said, I'll have all the specs and a review after this coming weekend . . .but here's a few quick pictures:

Note the small size compared to a easton nano-stakeflying tarpbug tentflying nun

OK,

I don't have a working scale, so these are unconfirmed. I also am estimating the pole weight (based on the Quest web page)and you'll have to guess at the tyvek ground cloth weight. There are guylines with tensioners as well– I'm not weighing those :)

Bug Tent= 13.8 oz including seam sealing

Tarp=–(silnylon w/ extra silicon (1.45 oz per square yard versus the more traditional 1.3 for added rain proofing)= 14.3 oz including seam sealing

poles= @ 2.45 oz (maybe a little less based on measurement)- optional weight if you have trek poles

stakes= 10 grams each (I carry 12 of them) 1 for tarp front, 1 for tarp foot, 4 corners of tarp, 2 middle tarp (foul weather), 4 for bug tent/ground cloth

This should be really close. Gen also included silnylon pouches/bags for all components.
