They forgot to put the laces in.
Don't look too good for steep descents to me.
Cool name though.
Hmmm. eVent fabric bootie. Zips. Looks like a decent sole for winter. Doesn't say how you snug it up — maybe you don't.
Laces are under the gaiter, pull type.
I'll let you know what I think of them, I just ordered a pair. They seem perfect for a wet, muddy trail. I hiked the Black Forest Trail in PA last weekend, and could have used these. My feet got pretty wet pretty early. No real damage done, but the unavoidable water was never higher than just over my toes. These seem like they would have been perfect for the hike — cool weather, wet, muddy trail, no water deeper than 4-5 inches.
I'll be testing them out in Dolly Sods next weekend, another cool weather, wet muddy trail hike!
Ordered them last night. RRS has 60 day money back guarantee for "members" — will give them a try. Nice to see more "neutral shoes" out there. There is so much stiff stuff already. With a gore tex pac-lite or similar gaiter, could probably splash in puddles, trudge through snow a bit more.
I’ve recently started wearing Mizuno Wave Harriers
Nice and light, and a great sole for muddy conditions. Worn with Rocky socks my feet stay perfectly dry. Nice and wide in the forefoot too, so maybe a good choice for folk who find Inov8’s too narrow.
Is the "removable insock" some sort of "waterproof" membrane?
I think the 'insock' is just the insole. There is no waterproof liner. Water runs out of the shoe as quickly as it goes in. I will only wear my Rocky g/tex socks with them in cold/wet conditions. I don't mind wet feet in warm conditions.
They work very good for suburban street running in the winter.
Saucony running shoes are really great, I may read some other reviews that they don’t like some kinds of Saucony but overall it is being use by many people because of its comfortable to use.
Well, never did get back to anyone on these (Pro Grid Razor eVent), did I. They were okay, but it's too easy to get water in over the tops. Might be fine in low slush. I did one hike in them and they seemed to be great — kept my feet dry in somewhat wet conditions. But they didn't work in Dolly Sods, water was simply too deep (I should have known). Now, I was using them as a hiker, not a runner, FWIW. I ended up giving them away.
