Thanks to everyone who has provided advice on our upcoming Philmont trip.
We need 2 stoves, so we’re debating several different stove types (we’d take both of the same type):Canister based Isopropane: ultralightweight stove @ 3 oz, but must bring all canisters
Colemax PowerMax: 8- 14 oz
Cartridges often available we’re told in PhilmontWhite gas stove: Heavier (weight unknown), fuel available in Philmont
Any recommendations from experienced Philmonters?
Thanks,
MikeB -
