Maybe this will be useful to someone here. I came across an organization that accredits outdoor education programs — The Association for Experiential Education. They have lists of accredited programs and colleges

and lists of job openings (instructors, etc.)

An example of a job is "Adjunct Faculty – Winter Expedition Field Instructor" in the Adirondacks, which I thought was kind of neat, but not lucrative.
