I recently got one off of Steep and Cheap, so I can't really comment on the performance just yet, but I would definitely consider sizing up because they tend to run small.

This is essentially a Backcountry brand version of an Arcteryx Gamma MX jacket. Same materials, same styling.

I have a Gamma MX. It's a nice spring, fall, and active winter jacket. Not super warm standing still, but a bit too warm while actively hiking, snowshoeing, xc skiing, etc unless temps are quite below freezing. It's stop and go warm.

Polartec Powershield repels snow nicely, does acceptably against light rain(enough time for you to seek cover, no more.)

It's really nice stretch-y fabric for active pursuits.

Not UL by any means (can't ever imagine a situation where I'd bring my Gamma MX backpacking) but probably a nice jacket based on the materials used.
