I am thinking about buying a jacket of this material but have no experience with it. Can anybody tell me about it and its applications?

Thank you for the response, I read the description but was hoping to hear of any individual experience.

ThermalPro fleece from Malden Mills comes in a wide variety, but two of the very best fleece jackets are made of it: the Patagonia R2 and the thicker Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man. Highly breathable, quick drying, luxurious feel, and not at all wind-resistant. For all day wear in cold weather, it can't be beat. For sitting around in the cold, a down jacket is better, but there is still a place for fleece.

Thanks for your insight, I have just bought a westcomb fleece from geartrade.com in this fabric.
