Gossamer Gear Hip Belt Pockets

I have a hip belt pocket that is very close in size to the Large Gossamer. I use a small from MLD for my camera.

However, I no longer carry my camera (Canon Powershot A540, a small digital) on the hip belt. When I remove a pack, the hip belt, especially if it has the weight of a camera, tends to swing around and could bang into the ground. Sometimes I just forgot about the camera being attached there. Now I carry the camera in a pouch attached to the shoulder strap. It fits in a smaller bag, (LowePro Z 5) but to make it easier to get in and out, I use the LowePro Z 20.
Check OR, too. They make a smaller shoulder strap bag with the attachments going the right way, horizontal, not vertical.
If the Gossamer shoulder attachments fits your camera, go with it.

I have the "large" hip belt pockets on my GG Gorilla Pack. I keep 'em full so I don't want them any smaller. Good for camera, essentials, sunscreen, Clif Bar, and other miscellaneous stuff that would otherwise be "lost" in a bigger bag.

I've got two of the Large size that I use for quick access items. I don't think they're overly big, but if small or medium works for you, go for it.

I put them into the water bottle pockets on either side of my pack. I generally use a Camelbak so the side pockets of my pack would otherwise go unused. One of the GG pockets is my "potty pocket" (TP, Purell, tent stake for digging) and the other is my "odds and ends" pocket for stuff I regularly on the trail (bug juice, sunscreen, lighter, etc.).

I find the size M to be plenty. I keep the camera in another pouch so the only thing that go in the pockets are small immediate needs: tube of sunscreen, hand sanitizer, chapstick, bug repellant, band aids, liner gloves and sometimes the GPS. Usually there's room left over for clif bars and trailmix in a baggie.

I use mediums and in one have my camera (a mid-sized point and shoot) with a backup battery and in the other I can either put just my hand-cam or if I don't bring it (and I usually do not) I will include a map, sunscreen, compass (if need be), snack, and lip balm.

I have two size small pockets but probably will order some medium ones, too. My camera (small digi point and shoot) fits great but leaves little room for anything else. I have to cram them full when putting my essentials in them.

I have upgraded to a Medium Golite Pinnacle and it's great and so light. I just miss having little pockets to keep the odds and ends. I'm looking to obtain the Gossamer hip belts. I measured the hip belts and they 8×5 inches. Much smaller than my old Osprey Ather hip belts.

Anyone have an idea which size I should buy? I have seen pictures of them on packs and they seem too big for the Pinnacle. Someone out there have these on a Pinnacle?
