I need a really good pillow, I have had two spinal bone & metal fusions in my neck plus major facet joint issues. I used to be a stomach & side sleeper but cannot sleep on my stomach anymore because of my neck and cannot sleep on my side because I also have herniated disk in my lumbar/back so I am forced to sleep on my back.

Big Agness has the "Sleeping Giant" memory foam pillow which is simular to the Tempurpedic I use at home, but it weights half a pound! I found a Cocoon Down pillow that might just be the ticket, the medium sized is 3 oz – I will need a large and they don't list they weight, just say "slightly heavier".

Has anyone ever tried on of the Cocoon Down pillows?

Thanks!

On this page the large size (13"x17") is listed at 2.5 oz.

A mate purchased the Air Core version (air bag with synthetic fill) and that did not remain in shape for him. (he prefers a hollow middle rather than a bump there)
I suspect that in the down version your head will sink in but maybe not offer much support (?)
Maybe you could look at the MontBell Comfort pillow (my new toy…) . This one is shaped and could be fastened in place by adding a couple of loops to your mat. I wrap my day top over it , you could wrap something a bit thicker/softer (fleece top) for extra comfort.

I hear a lot of people on here rave about it and looking at the specs it might just do the trick. I bought a Granit Gear stuff sack that has fleece on one side so it can be used as a pillow, but I will have very little extra cloths to stuff it with. Think I will go with the MontBell, thanks.
