I'm interested in a lid for the 900 as well.

the 900 utilizes a "fry pan"- it's pretty heavy (considering I only use it as a lid)

very much interested if you could pull off a 900 lid

thanks

Mike

Hi Everyone,
Great, thanks for all the feedback. I'm glad there's interest in the 900 and 700 lids as well. I'll keep you updated.

I would be interested in lids for the 700 and 900. Right now I use folded heavy duty aluminum foil.

Jason, I noticed that the lid with 7 strainer holes is 0.1 ounces lighter. How many holes would you likely need to punch to bring the weight of the lid down to 0.0 ounces? I would be interested in custom ordering this product. Price is not object for the additional labor required.

Ok, sorry to clutter your thread with bad humor!

Jason, I am interested in both the 600 and 900 lids (one of each). What do we do–wait till your web page allows us to order the 900 lids, then order both then? By the way, it's pretty cool that you are doing this for us.

Here's to hoping you sell all of those before they sue you for using their name.

or simply change the name to "wetwhitestufftopofthemountain" 600 lid :)

looks like lots of folks would be interested in a 900 lid- the "fry pan" is not very handy (and heavy)- I asked SnowPeak about a substitute lid- that was a no go

I thought the 700 came w/ a light lid?

Actually, we already talked to Snow Peak and they're fine with it. So, sorry to disappoint bur I don't think we'll be getting sued. ;)

The 700 does come with a lid, however it’s made from steel and is a bit heavy.

Here is a post that documents the weights of the 700. Weight is mentioned in the post:

OEM mug with handles and plate: 90.3 grams/3.19 ounces.

OEM lid: 33.5 grams.

Wow, that's 1.18 ounces. The ones I have are 0.5 – 0.6 oz. so people could shed a decent amount of weight by switching it out.

How much are the Trek 700 lids going to sell for and what is the exact gram difference between the standard lid verus this new customizeable one?

Hi Timothy,
The difference between the solid lid and the one with holes is about 2.83 grams on my scale.

I think the 700 and 900 lids will be the same price as the 600 lids. Thanks for bringing that up.
