What's your favorite lightest solo 3 season Ti or aluminum can pot/lid/stove/windscreen or Caldera Cone setup? Very curious to see what you're using.

I currently have a Trek 900 for solo use because it came with a Trek 1400/900 set we picked up on steep discount. Have several alcohol stoves and picking up a gram cracker esbit stove with a Caldera Cone.

I'm 6 ft tall 185-190 lbs (depending on season) and have a healthy appetite. I've done boil in bag meals but I prefer to cook and eat my meal in and eat it from the pot (though there's more cleanup to do). Maybe you'll convince me otherwise.

I use the BPL 550 no handle, add lid plus T's Side B stove. They weigh in at 4.94 ounces with about three days worth of fuel.

I only consume food bars, just add water dinner bags, instant oatmeal, and instant coffee.

Jack

Edit: That also includes a homemade cozy for the pot. Its made of polyester and just protects my thumb and forefinger for holding the pot.

Either the Gossamer Gear GVP Cone system (Foster's can) or the MLD 850ml Ti. mug with the Trail Design's prototype Ti. Cone, with the Gram Cracker Esbit stove.

The GVP/TD Cone would get the nod as probably being a little more efficient and lighter over the MLD set-up, but not as durable overall as the MLD Ti. mug.

I curently have and use both, but have been using the GVP system more as it is the lighter of the two.

These two cook system are great for solo usage coffee, tea, hot chocolate drinkers. You can heat 24oz and have enough hot water for Oatmeal and a 12 -14 oz cup of coffee.

My dinners are usually a Mtn. House Pro-Pack which requires 12oz as well, still leaving me enough water for an after dinner hot drink too.

Note that I filter or treat all my water so, I don't need to reach full boils.

+1 for cooking and eating from a pot.

.9L evernew, cat can stove, tin foil windscreen and reflectix cozy. I would rather add the weight in the form of a actual pot and save it on the stove rather than the opposite. The stove may not be as efficient (especially in the wind) as a caldera but with the addition of the cozy I am happy with it.
