I liked the blue better. I'm a color snob! :-) It's still cheaper than anything else I saw anywhere else (for that jacket).

FYI – I have an Ascentionist, and I have been extremely impressed with it. It outperforms all other lightweight softshell material I have used, including Schoeller Dynamic, Dryskin and Dryskin Extreme, as well as Powershield Lightweight and the Glacier material used by Beyond Fleece. It breathes very, very well, and in all but extended downpours keeps me dry.

Also, the hood works wonderfully with a helmet – a big positive.

An excellent jacket. I wish Patagonia made pants out of the same material.
