Recently Petzel has upgraded the majority of their headlamps. I figured Id bring this to everyones attention so you can analyze the improvements they have made to these newer models. Also for those of you thinking to buy a headlamp anytime soon, I thought it would be a good idea to make mention of these upgrades so you do not rush off and buy an old one only to find out that there are these newer ones with better light output and battery life. All said and done, what do you guys think of the replacement editions. Here they are:

The one in particular that I am interested in is the Petzel Tikka XP 2. Their Tikka XP was their most popular one for the past 4-5 years and even won the backpacker magazine award in 2006. If you have the opportunity and wouldnt mind comparing the two, let me know what you think of the improvements on the XP 2 model. Thanks.
