Do I need a map to hike the PCT?

We are hiking the PCT in Washington from Snoqualmie Pass to Stehekin. What sort of map do we need to do this? I remember doing the JMT and a bit of paper pointing out where to go at various turnoffs would have sufficed.

Is that the case here?
