I need a light weight rain jacket and a synthetic insulation layer

I am about to pull the trigger on a Golite Virga ($47) and a Salsa Jacket ($60)

I know I can get lighter and perhaps better options (ie the MB Thermawrap) but for the prices mentioned I really think these are good deals.

Anyone have any good reason to tell me I shouldn't purchase the above two items?

I have a MB Ex Light Down Jacket and I absolutely love it. It has a better weight to warmth ratio than the Salsa, but it also costs twice as much. You can't go wrong with those prices. I say go for it. I recommend a Rainshield O2 Rainwear Jacket instead of the Virga, however. It costs half as much and is way more breathable.
