Just a heads up. Rumor has it that bing/live cashback will double as of Aug. 10th.

That means that ordering from backcountry.com would always have a 24% discount. I know STP, Moosejaw, backcountryedge, altrec, and many others participate as well.

I have found that more often than not if you use a code it will disqualify you from the cashback promotion (as specified in the details mind you).

From Bing on Facebook:

"Go back to school with extra cashback from Bing. Beginning Aug. 10, and for a limited time, you can earn up to double cashback from select stores. Starting tomorrow, we'll announce which cashback partners will be participating."

We'll see if any BPL-applicable stores are taking part tomorrow, I guess. Also note the "up to". Thanks for the heads-up, though!

Keep in mind that using a promotional coupon or code often kills the cashback. I have been able to stack them on occasion but it is a roll of the dice and specifically prohibited by the TOS.

I have often found on BIN ebay purchases that my money is awarded instantly and I don't have to waite the 60 days, YMMV>

I'm seeing 16.6% – 44% cashback when I click through bing to backcountry.com

Problem is I don't know which % you get for what product.

Backcountryedge.com is at 15%

If you need some shoes Eastbay.com is at a whopping 50%!!

Gearwild.com (never heard of them) is at 20%

Moosejaw is at 20-24%

Rockcreek.com is 14-24%

STP is 15-40%

there are more, but those are some of the bigger ones.

If you figure out how to tell what % you get from backcountry.com let us know!

I searched for a few items and all of them came up to be 24.6% at backcountry.com

Altrec I think is also 22%

If you go to bing.com and search stores and click through the link to backcountry.com the % shows up to 40%. I don't believe you have anyway to determine if you are getting 20% or 40% however w/out ordering (I could be wrong on that).

You can get some Brooks Cascadias for $50 at Eastbay.

Ebay is supposed to go to 15% today as well, although as yet it hasn't happened.

When you search for an item and then click "view stores" it tells you what the cash back percentage is.

Backcountry 24.6% Cash Back

I searched a number of items and they were all 24.6% but it might depend on the brand to see what the cash back amount is. Either way 25% back isn't bad. Especially for on sale items or items in the outlet.

I've got a hunch that it might be some clothing items that are at the higher cashback.

Thanks.

I placed an order at Backcountry and 24.6% cashback is shown as pending in my bing/live account. FYI for anyone who is apprehensive about it. Of course I am not going to count the cash till its has been awarded in my account.

but I've never had a problem getting my money. If you do have a problem ususally CS from bing.com has been decent.

Using IE (didn't work for me with firefox) and searching for "Camera Strap" resulted in 12% eBay cashback link on right side of bing shopping search results page. Following the link and then searching eBay for what I wanted (Arcteryx Beta AR hardshell jacket), I managed to get one for $175 shipped. W00t!

Keep in mind, for most eBay cashback deals you need to use buy it now and pay with paypal.

I placed an order last week, when I clicked through the bing shopping for a kids jacket, I was quoted a price through Bing reflecting nearly a 50% double cashback so i made the purchases. Several days later, I noticed these same items reflecting a higher price (reflecting only a 24% cashback discount). Obviously, bing screwed up and accidently doubled the 24% cashback to 48% when it was only supposed to be 12% doubled to 24%. They of course are only awarding me 24% cashback on purchases I would not have made at only 24% cashback and they're playing dumb about it (obviosly their tech department is aware of the problem since they fixed it several days later). I noticed the same problem on another one of their "featured items" so i'm sure there are other out there who ran into the same problem. If this has happened to anyone else; I'd appreciate you letting me know so I have more proof to submit to bing. Thanks!!

Im lost is there a way to save additonal money on a Big Agnes Diversion Recycled Petite Pad from Backcountry.com when it is already offered for 20% off. If so then I would definitely buy one. Could someone get back to me on where or not I can get one of these for under $70 by using bing. Thanks!

Tim: It looks like you can get that pad for $63.32 if you go through Bing. Of course, you'll have to wait a while to get part of that money back from bing (as described above). Go to http://www.bing.com. Click on the shopping link. Then search for "Big Agnus Diversion Pad". It should come up. You'll need a bing account already opened. Click through the search results to the cheapest one. You'll find backcountry.com. The link will take you to the store. After you make the purchase (around $72), a few days later you'll have nine bucks or so showing as pending in your bing account.

Just before clicking into backcountry.com is says I wont be eligible for free shipping even though backcountry always offers free shipping on products over $50 whats up with that? Any way to still get the free shipping?

I never had problems regarding free shipping. See how far you can go in the order process. You should see one way or another upon submitting your order. You can always cancel it if needed.
