The illustrious Roman Dial is starting on his upteenth Alaska Mountain Wilderness Classic today. The classic is an unsupported point to point wilderness race that's been around since 1982. The only rules are no roads, no support, and go fast. Route selection is crucial, and tends to be packraft centric.
