I bought a High Gear Altis watch on sale from STP: Everything looked dandy until I discovered that the altimeter function shows constant micro fluctuation (a couple of meters) even in a prolonged stationary state. I understand some drift is normal under atmospheric conditions, but don't expect to see a reading that is changing with fairly high frequency.
Is that "normal" for these watches? I had read that the altimeter function was highly regarded (within the limits of what it can do).
Strangely, it does not have (afaik) an altimeter lock function. -
