Can anyone recommend solid one-night loop (or out and back) hikes in either the northern Los Padres NF/Big Sur area or the Southern end of the Sierras?

Anything from 10 to 20 miles a day works for me.

The greater Big Sur area just burned off so any post fire trail beta for that area would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Nathan

Nathan, not much hiking in Big Sur/Ventana. Pretty much has burned out due to two huge fires that lasted most of the summer. If you want coastel hiking then Big Basin near Santa Cruz could work.

Check out the Ventana Wilderness alliance website. They have a forum with trail updates. Lots of post-fire BETA from enthusiasts there.
