Hi everyone, Does anybody have experience with using the NF Propel sleeping bag? The 40 degree Propel uses Polarguard Delta, a Quantum shell, side zip, and is 1 lb. for the regular size (84″)

Hi, I think I got some stats wrong. The regular size external length is 84″. Max. user height is 6’0″. I’m not sure if there is a zipper. Also, It seems there are two versions. the new Propel weighs 1 lb. 4oz and the old weighs 1 lb. Maybe someone can shed some light on the correct stats:-)

Not sure about the correct stats, but the weight difference might be attributable to the fact that Polarguard Delta failed to meet expectations, and was discontinued. They probably went to using Polarguard 3D. A shade heavier but much better than Delta in almost every other regard.
Hi Joe, thanks for your reply. According to NF,Polarguard Delta is still used, but the shell fabric changed to a 15-denier ripstop. A footbox zipper was added for ventilation. It’s too bad that both changes added more weight to a seemingly lightweight bag. Alan Dixon mentioned the Propel in his excellent article on kayaking in the latest BPL magazine. The “old” Propel version can be had for $165. I’ll look at the Fanatic Fringe quilts too.
