Hi Andy

Reviewing your postings I find that most of them are advertising deals at Campsavers. This is not a problem in itself, but you are not letting newcomers know that you have a strong vested interest in the company. This sort of disclosure is a mandatory requirement *for everyone*, even on Gear Deals.

You can either put a sentence into the posting each time saying something like 'I am the owner of CampSavers', or you could put it into your ID.

Cheers

Thanks for the heads up, but if you work for them, please say so.

Andy has in the past indicated his alliances. Andy is the owner of Campsaver and a super guy to do business with.

But I agree, for those that do not know the above, clarification is a rule here.

Hi Roger,
sorry about that, I did not know it was mandatory. I will be sure to post my credentials when using the forum.

thanks
Andy

On the other hand Andy, this can work seriously in your favour, and I don't think it's anything to shy away from. I'm happy to put my hand up and say that the service I've received from campsaver.com has always been excellent, and mentioned this to you in an email I sent earlier today.

Knowing that you're active on the BPL forums would generally make me MORE likely to buy from you, since most owner/manufacturers we see here are genuinely interested in maintaining genuinely good service. It definitely promotes customer loyalty.

For any Aussies reading, it's worth checking campsaver.com, as they have always provided great shipping rates. {In the interestes of full disclosure, I have just sent them an email this morning asking for a quote on shipping an order ;^) }

…and 50% or better off on the GoLite Den and VO24 are very tempting.

And whatever makes Jonathon happy, makes us all happy.

G'day Mr Panda, how's things over in morning land? Bed time over here. I was waiting to hear from campsaver, but it's still half an hour til they open, and it's too cold for sitting around here in night land.

That's better.
My subscription ran out a few months ago and I needed to renew anyway so I just created a new account with Campsaver as my username and everything else to go with it. #1, we appreciate the business from our light hikers and BPL members. #2, I'm always available for questions and will be candid.

Your Friendly Internet Gear Shop,
-Andy

Hi Andy

Sure. I like the sig you used in the posting:
"Andy

CampSaver.com"

It would be nice if every one with a vested interest did the same.

Cheers
