Looking for something for 3 season use in the pacific northwest. Currently I'm looking at the MLD spirit 35, the fanatic fringe PG Delta 30, and the BMW UL 180 Quilt. Any thoughts on which is better, and which has the better weight to warmth ratio. Are there other synthetic quilts that I should be considering?

If you are at all handy with a sewing machine, you may want to look at the quilt kits offered by Ray and Jenny Jardine. Google RayWay and look at what they have to offer. You can pretty much custom make a quilt from what they have.
I own a BMW UL 180 Quilt and my brother owns the MLD Spirit 35. Comparing the two of them, I like the MLD better. The MLD workmanship is better and the hooking mechanism to close the top around you is much better designed, much easier to use. Both I think are similar in warmth. I have ordered a MLD Spirit 35 after seeing my brother's quilt and will probably sell the BMW online after I receive the MLD.
From what I have been told (have no direct experience), Climashield (in the MLD) is supposed to compress more and hold up better than Polarguard Delta (in the BMW and FF quilts).
One other feature that I like about the MLD quilt is that it can be laid flat; the foot feature is not permanently fixed as in the other two quilts. That could be a benefit in warmer weather.
If you can patiently wait the two months or more that it typically takes to get a Mountain Laurel Designs product, it is well worth the wait. Their products are excellent!
