I have pretty much narrowed it down to a few, but am interested in what everyone has to say about the topic. My main focuses are
-Keeping price ultra-affordable
-while staying as light as possible
*Oware Catbird Tarp (6.5 oz, 30 D silnylon,$100
*Oware Cattarp 1.1 (8 oz,30 D silnylon,$79
*Gossamer Gear Spinshelter (8.8 oz, spinnaker,$195
I know that there are lighter options out there made of cuben fiber,but they are generally much too expensive for my blood!
I suspect that i will need a bivy for the Catbird Tarp and the Cattarp 1.1;which will raise the weight of my shelter, but also give me more freedom when it comes time to camp-tarp+bivy for wet weather, bivy or tarp for most everything else.
So which route do I go
