Firstly, thanks to all for what I've found to be a VERY enjoyable place! Responsible for many late night readings/I don't UL backpack but travel lots on my own offroad/trail/pontoon boat etc. In short being prepared has been ingrained in my work and my life and most effective gear always interests me.

My issue: last fall I discovered merino and am a diehard fan of it now. I do a lot of helicopter work and am aware when their is a heli incident fire can be common and those with flammable cloths can have 100x's damage vs. those with cotton/non flammables etc. Until last fall I just accepted that as I've lived in synthetics for a few years and comfort seemed worth it.

NOW with my merino (all but pants) clothing it seems silly to be so much safer on all clothing items but my pants….any suggested lightweight (purpose being it's typically v. hot in the helicopter as it's late spring/summer work ofen and heli's are just solar heat sink's often. I often touch down for some bushwacking to confirm/explore ground conditions (ie. some brush), any suggestions that won't overheat me overly?? I've used Cloudveil lightweight convertibles before (even unzip legs while flying/rezip for landing and ground exploring for leg protection).

Had this q in my head for sometime and finally got it posted. Many thanks in advance for any ideas/I'm wide open to any/all suggestions/concepts/pricepoints.
