Can anyone point me to a sunglasses manufacturer that makes sports prescription sunglasses? I know Oakley makes them but at a small fortune. I need alternatives.

You can get wrap around style raybans for fairly cheap at most places including the 1hr places.
Most major sport eyewear companies offer prescription models. Your choices will be limited depending on the amount of correction needed since some companies only correct to a certain diopter. Oakleys are great, but if you want to spend less money you can look at Smith and Wiley X.
If you know someone in military or law enforcement they can order the RX oakleys at a huge discount.
I get RX lenses in Costa Del Mar frames.
Cheapest place ever is Zenni Optical if you can find some no name frames you like there.
I ordered 2 more pairs of RX shades from them yesterday for $45 shipped. That’s less than the deductible would have been for 1 pair, had I used my vision insurance plan at a local place.
I recently ordered a pair of Rudy Project sunglasses (which are awesome, btw) from http://www.sportrx.com. The same company makes prescription sunglasses using a variety of brands. I got polarized wrap-around prescription lenses, and they did a great job. Not cheap, though.
You may want to check two or three places for a price on Oakleys. One place I go to sold me Oakley frames with prescription lenses for a price I prefer not to think about ($250-300), but another place sold me prescription Oaks for something like $160 including the frames and prescription lenses. No idea why there was such a price discrepancy. They were different models, but not that different. Anyway, that may still be too expensive for you, but might be worth asking around if not.
From what I understand, Oakley, or some lens makers for them, have to make prescription lenses for their frames. That's why the cost so much. They can charge what they want.
My other issue is my prescription…. -5.25. This really limits my choices. Some of the Adidas ones at SportRx look pretty cool.
I'm still looking around though. Thanx for the leads!
I few years back my employer had a really nice vision benefit, and I used it to get some prescription Oakley shades for almost free.
The optical remains much better than any other pair of glasses I've owned. I do wish I still had access to those benefits!
Hidalgo sunglass suppy used to do a great job, don't know if they're around still or not.
