I typically carry 18-20 lbs with food and water – base weight is about 12 lbs. I am interested in the conduit, ohm or exodus. However, I tend to prefer a pack with a frame due to shattered collar bone but don't like the extra weight and lack of flexibility. Which pack do you recommend?

Ray… I have all 3 and would definitely recommend the Ohm. The Conduit will carry that much, but not quite as comfortably. The Exodus is probably going to be on the big side for what you're carrying, and once again does not match up to the lightly framed Ohm. Also, the Ohm compression system is much better which works well as the food load becomes smaller.

I have about the same base wt, went with the Ohm, very happy thus far. Make sure you're okay with a minimal hip belt though.

I have the MLD SuperZip/Exodus and the ULA Circuit (which is one step up from the Ohm in size and weight). To me it seems like the Ohm will be the most usable pack of the three. It is light enough and has enough compression to carry a 6lbs base load and burly enough to comfortably carry 30lbs. That is a rare combo..
