Looking for feedback about these two packs, especially in comparison. I know that the Catalyst has a slightly larger capacity. Looking for mostly info about workmanship, durability, features, etc. Thanks in advance

hye Matt,
I have the Pinnacle and the Circuit which is pretty much the same thing as the Catalyst but smaller. As far as workmanship and quality the ULA is FAR superior. The sewing is much tighter and the fit and features are that of a higher quality pack. That said they are both great packs for their intended purposes. If you are looking for a sub 10lbs base weight pack for bulky insulation the Pinnacle will do great. If you want a "Lightweight LoadMonster" go for the Catalyst. Once you get above 30lbs in the pack the ULA will be far more comfortable….

Thanks for the info, Jonathan. I was leaning a little towards the Catalyst. This confirms my instincts.

Aren't they in totally different classes? The ULA having a frame that can haul 40 lbs, where as the Pinnacle is framless and can carry about half that, correct?

Anyways, I have no experience with Golite, but my Catalyst has about 800 miles or so on it and very little wear. I've routinely hauled 35 pounds and it handles it very nicely. My next pack would have been another ULA had I not decided to make my own.
