Pacific Outdoors InsulMat SuperLite Mountain Sleeping Pad
Not displaying

What is this? I saw this on the web the other day, and then saw a couple others similar to it at REI.com (online only). Supposedly a 4 season pad with both closed cell foam and an inflatable part of the top that weighs about 12 oz? Yet for REI's similar pads, the weight increases to 23 oz?

I'm just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with these?

EDIT:
Here is a link to the REI website with a similar version of this pad:

And here is the link to the actual one, which seems to be way cheaper than REI's and weigh only 12 oz?? I'm just gonna assume that the description must be wrong.

Max, there are two different pads. The heavier and more expensive one uses ccf with an inflatable insert. The lighter one uses two different kinds of foam. I have the 3/4 version of the lighter one. It weights 11 oz., 2 oz. over spec.

Does this pad work well? The mixed reviews on REI are interesting, but I'm more interested in the thoughts of BPLers. At about 5oz lighter than a RidgeRest Deluxe, and an apparently amazing 5 or 7 R value, I'm hoping that this will be my new winter pad. It's also light enough that it may replace my summer pad too. Any thoughts?

Max, I've slept on snow with the POE SL-Mtn and stayed warm. It's a 1/2" thick mat composed of different types of foam. 5 to 7 R value seems a little high, though. I was thinking it was closer to 3. It packs tighter than the Ridge Rest Deluxe but I'm not sure that it is as comfortable. This will give you an idea of the packed volume.

As you can see, I've also used it in the summer. Comfort is a subjective thing so I don't know if it will be comfortable enough for you. For me, I decided it wasn't and moved on to a torso-sized inflatable over a foam pad.
