Looking to buy the Six Moon Designs Lunar Solo E for an upcoming bike trip (and future adventuring). It uses a trekking pole as it's main support, or alternatively, you can purchase a carbon pole.
I don't hike with trekking poles, and the only review of the carbon pole was not positive (reviewer says it sunk into the ground and then threatened to break when he tried to put a hard surface between it and the ground.)
Does anybody have experience using anything besides the trekking pole to support the tent? Any advice or recommendations?
