Does anyone have any thoughts on or experience in trying to make a wider A-frame shelter for two with a pair of GoLite ponchos? Could I set up the first as a lean-to, then shingle the second over the peak of the first? A single larger shelter may make more sense for a pair of hikers, but I was thinking about rain gear and pack cover savings times two.

Seems I have seen a picture of that somewhere. I don't remember where though.
I think you have to be a member to view it, but Ryan's article on Tarp techniques does show two ponchos pitched together for 2 hikers.
