Just bought a roll of Leukotape. I don't think I'll be needing to take 15 yards with me on trips.

If I unroll a foot or so and then re-roll it or wrap it around a pencil or such will the tape loose any of it's adhesive qualities?

What are you guys/gals that use the tape do to repackage?

Thanks!

You should be fine. I roll it around a small plastic tube which holds a needle and some other misc first-aid stuff.

I normally take a foot or so wrapped around a paperclip and that always seems to work for me. It has not lost its stick when I do this.

Has anyone tried to wrap it around a hiking pole like many do with duct tape?

I would imagine it would not work but was just wondering.

I had about 3 feet of it rolled onto a piece of a drinking straw and had to use some of it this past weekend. It was still super sticky. I would just make sure that the area you're applying it to is as clean and dry as possible. Otherwise, you'll get some "shoving".

I just roll the Leukotape onto itself. I carry about a meter of it in my kit.

I 2nd. Klas's description on using tincture-of-benzoin with the Leukotape. The BEST method to protect blisters and wounds that I have ever seen and a lot of guys in my group seem to get BAD blisters on our long hikes.
