Anybody ever try to make a hat out of the stuff?
From what I understand of the cuben fiber, it is not breathable. I think a hat would be sweaty except if worn for short periods,while inactive around camp or has enough ventilation built into the design.
A design to think about with cuben or nano would be something like a UL Field Cap with the center section made with a no see um mesh or something, this could be under .5oz I think if you used the plastic from a 2L soda bottle inside the brim to stiffen it
