Cheap UL syn bag.

Is there such a thing like an old eureka etc ??

I want one to throw in my car and leave it there, but I want it light in case I end up hiking with it.

I have an old Snowlion polarguard bag thats 4# so its a bit heavy.

Looking for maybe a 50 degree syn bag that weighs about 2-2.5#.

Guess I could just build a quilt too and that would be lighter but thought I would ask.

Cheap, warm, and light. Pick any two — and we can then give you our recommendations.

Slumberjack Super Guide is rated 30* (don't try it) but will do 40s easy for around 2.5 lbs. About $50 bucks. Compresses well too.

Slumberjack Super Guide sounds good.

I will look into them. 40-50dF is fine.

Link for Troy.

This really is a nice bag for the price. Hood AND vented footbox for ~$50.

"This looks more interesting to me."

Looks like it may have more footbox, but you lose the hood. Nice weight though. I'm betting you can beat that price if you look around.

Edited: $49.97 at Campmor.

This looks about as light/vs price as its going to get.

$70 – down – 2#

I have used both the Lafuma 45 synthetic and 30 down 50 and 99 dollars. No Western mountianeering but cheap and both very close on rating. Great bags for a budget. I will be using my Lafuma 30 exculsivly for the next 5 months from the Cascades to Wyoming and be happy to do a review once I hit day 100. Ali
