It is difficult to get Esbit tabs up here and for that reason alone I typically don't use them. However, I have an opportunity to buy 10 boxes (12 tabs in each box) at a good deal and am wondering how long they last for. Even at 2 tabs a day while out camping, I'm still looking at 60 days of summertime solo days before they are used up. This will probably take me a number of years…will they go bad? Or are these good for a decade or something like that?
I did the same thing perhaps 6 years ago. They still light and burn fine. As long as they stay sealed in their little plastic packages, they should be fine.
