I haven't been looking at them for long, but it seems like a pretty good deal. 7 Dlx, 9, and 9 Dlx for $100 – $110 at sierratradingpost.com.

I have the old-style 9 DLX (without the integrated pump).

I've been considering also getting the 7 and a 7 DLX (7 for me, the other for my 6'4" boyfriend), but haven't wanted to invest all that extra cash…

This could be a good deal for us tho. Does anyone with an old-style 7 or 7 DLX know what they weigh?

I just wonder if the old style weighed less because it DIDN'T have the integrated pump. The weights currently listed on the OR website are for the new style.

EDIT: I'm interested in the weights WITHOUT the stuff sack, as these are quite heavy and I don't use them.
I have the 2oz pump, so if the old styles are lighter, and I can carry the one 2oz pump for BOTH matresses, seems like it could be a better deal than two of the NEW style mattresses…

I happen to have that chart stapled to my receipt since OR has a "infinite" guarantee.
Old style which I own both:
#7=27.9 vs new 31.9, (old bag =4.9oz.)
#9=33.2 vs new 36.2, (old bag =5.6oz.)

#9 DLX 44.4oz is listed as old

I love my pads, esp #7. I use the stuff sack as my pillow…works great…this pad is one of my most important pieces of gear! Good sleep is king. Any other questions, pm me. Hope that helps!

Thanks! That IS actually very helpful.

I'm thinking that the old style 7 DXLs are definitely worth picking up, especially on a sale. With the pump still separate and not using the original heavy stuffsack/pumps, my little two ounce pump for both of them adds up to a huge savings :D

9 and 7 Dlx are now $75 and $77.50, respectively.

Edit: Actually, take another 15, 20, or 25% off if your total order is over $100, $150, or $200 using the code "sitesave49."

Can you still buy the 2oz pumps anywhere? I couldn't find them anywhere. Seems like a pretty good weight savings, esp. if you're using two pads.

Ian,

You can purchase a BA Pumphouse bag at 1.5 oz to inflate any Downmat. I also use mine to inflate my Alpacka raft, to gravity feed water to my filter, as a shower bag, and as a stuff sack.

Remove the foam pad inside of the Exped stuff/pump sack. That will cut the weight down to 3 oz instead of the 4.9 on a #7 sack.
You can still multi use it as a stuff sack for the 1 oz difference of the pump??

I was wondering why I couldn't pull this deal up on sierra's website…until I looked at the dates. whoops.

I was waiting for someone like Hayes to say something so I could laugh my little butt off. Yes, Hayes is correct, I did a search too and of course found nothing. A lesson learned: look at original posted thread dates before getting mildly excited =)
