I just read the latest Appalachian Mountain Club Outdoors magazine and found an article that I actually found informative (not common with this magazine). Apparently recycling outdoors gear is more widespread than I'd thought.
I'd already heard about Patagonia's clothing recycling, but the Nike Reuse A Shoe program was news to me. And it's been around for almost 20 years! http://www.nikereuseashoe.com
Am I just behind the times? Has everyone else heard of this? Are there more ways to recycle gear than just Patagonia and Nike?
