I picked up one of the signal mirrs that have the hole in the center with what looks like bug screening in it. When you reflect the sun, the mirror's aiming spot makes a bright spot that can be seen through the aiming hole. In the past, I aimed my mirror with the space between either fingers on my free hand or through a space between my toes.
Can anyone explain how the aiming hole makes the visable bright spot when viewed from the back through the hole?
