I am looking to improve/update my kit by including a quality LIGHTWEIGHT insulating layer. My resources are pretty limited at this point, so I am looking for versatility at a decent price. This item would be for 3-season use.

I was considering the MontBell Thermawrap jacket, but I am a little worried about sizing (I am 6'4" and approx. 210 lbs).

Suggestions?

Measure yourself with a tailor's tape measure. Only then can you determine what your size should be. Measure chest, sleeve length, and back length.

That said, the Thermawrap Parka is great, and I have that an and the MB down inner parka, also.

Montbell has good products for a good price, and they can often be had at a discount. The thermawrap or down jacket/parka are both nice. The lightest you can go is the Montbell Ex Light Down, and you sacrifice pockets. For 3-season, I default to down over synthetic, (lighter weight, higher warmth) unless you will be traveling frequently the in rain. I live is No. California where it mainly rains in the winter. And if it's wet, you'll be wearing a shell.
