I am 5' 10" 220 lbs and a large fits me fine. It is a little tight in the belly region. I'm working on that.
I would say a medium would fit you fine. One of my friends is 5' 10" 175 lbs and wears a medium.
As far as price, I think everyone sells it at MSRP. Your best chance for a deal is if there is an outfitter near you that runs seasonal sales.

I am 5'11" and weigh 190 lbs. I have a medium flashie and it's nice and snug.
I wear it over a thermal layer, mostly at night to add some extra degrees of warmth. It goes with me on all my walks, as it's so light and packs down to next to nothing.

Do you think I should get a Small or Medium.
I plan to use it with a 150 weight icebreaker + 220 zip icebreaker.
I'm 6' 1", 210lbs & I wear a large. I originally bought an XL but returned it because it was a bit baggy on me. It's my impression their sizing runs big. YMMV.
