I'm in need of a solo/weekend pack. I like the Vapor Trail. But since nobody local can help me… I'm a 20.5 torso with a 34" belt size. I'm guessing regular on the pack size. But I'm unsure on the belt size? And does anyone have one in the gear closet to part with?

Granite Gear’s Vapor Trail product page contains relatively complete sizing info. Click on the fitting tab.
If that is not adequate, try their contact us link. They’ve been very responsive the couple times I’ve used that.
You should be good, going with a medium hip-belt.
