I'm not sure as to what size of the Montbell Thermawrap Jacket I should order. How do the sizes run? I'm 6'2"+, 190lbs, ~42" chest…

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

George I am 6' 1", 190 lbs. and I went with the extra large. I tried the large, but it was too tight around the torso. The sleeves are a little long for me on the extra large, but the torso fits better. It is a very good jacket, remarkably warm for its weight. My hiking buddies are always asking me were I got it, as they don't sell them where I live. Hope that helps

George,

I'm the same height, 175. Large fits me perfectly. If I was 190, I'd get the XL.

5'10"/175/42" chest. Large Montbell jackets are comfortable on me. Not quite snug, but not much room left over. At over 6', I'd think the large might not be long enough. I have a 19" torso and I wish my larges were an inch longer. Maybe only 1/2".

George,

Depends on how you like your jackets to fit.

I'm 6'2" 190# with a 42" chest and 35/36" regular shirt sleeve length.

My Large Thermawrap fits perfectly. It's plenty long enough in the arms and fits my 21.5" torso just right. I don't have a gut so i find that there is plenty of room underneath and it's not snug at all. My vote goes to large.

Edit: I find the extra room inside is adequate for base layers. You don't want an insulating layer to be too baggy or it defeats the purpose of trapping warm air.

Thanx everyone for the replies. I was leaning towards the XL because something too snug fitting would be uncomfortable to me. I will probably go with that based on your comments and my initial thoughts.

Keep on trekkin'!
