I'm taking a new GG "The One" on its maiden trip this weekend. I'm pumped to say this least. Only thing better than a backpacking trip is a backpacking trip with a new piece of gear.

Brad,
As the internet always demands:
Pics or it didn't happen!
You got it Dana.

Someone in another thread was asking about the interior size of "The One". Any chance you might be able to snap a few interior photo of it with your sleeping bag and air mattress laid out inside ?
If I don't end up building a Cuben shelter in the next few weeks I'm really considering getting one of these.
Thanks
Kevin
Check this site out. Lots photos of the 2009 One.

Would you mind eye-balling the interior to see if someone 6'6" has any chance fitting in it without the pitch of the sides sitting on my head or sleep system. Thanks.
Martin,
THANKS for posting that link !!! Great photos showing how the 09 version looks on the inside and outside !!

James – there is no way that you will fit laying on your side on a 1"pad without pushing against the tent wall.
Would the wind stability of The One benefit significantly from the addition of mid-panel tieouts on either side, or would that destabilize it by messing with the geometry in other ways?
This is the side I'm thinking of:

Some pictures of the Gossamer Gear on my trip last weekend. The tent performed excellent. The temp was 25 or a little cooler with winds from 5-10 mph. I had a little frozen condensation on the inside of the tent in the morning, but as things thawed out I didn't have any issue inside the tent. Everything remained bone dry. The tent was very stable, but I'm not sure if I would use it in high wind conditions. Just might be too much for it. The setup was quick and easy. The sleeping inside is regular length and the pad is 3/4 length. I'm 5'10" and had plenty of room. No issue with the height at the ends of the tent. As you can see from the pictures at 6'6" you would be using up all the space. I think someone taller using the tent could give you a better idea of how you would fit. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Based on one trip (take if for what it's worth) I would rate it very high.
