Has anyone found a spork with a "long" handle? I prefer the spork over the spoon and have both in a variety of handle lengths, plastic, Ti, lexan, folding and whatnot. BUT, I enjoy freezer bag cooking and I hate sticky fingers. So, I want a long handle spork, have the LH Ti spoon and it works, but I want a LH Ti spork. I searched the web, outfitters and friends packs, not that I expected to find one in any of my friends packs, ya never know, they have just about everything else in there, they're non-UL. I've even considered making one, decided against that, something about the idea of getting metal shards stuck in my tongue the first time I try to use it. Actually I don't have the tools necessary to make one and I would hate to destroy a perfectly good Ti spoon in any attempt.

thanks

Take a look at the plastic Light my Fire long handled spork. I know the smaller LMF spork is lighter than than the Ti equivalent, so the bigger one might be too.

JJ,
You wouldn't be ruining your long handled Ti spoon. You'd be improving it for your own purposes. A custom, one-off Long Handled Ti Spork. There'd only be one, and it would be yours.

How quickly we forget…

Bamboo Spoon 2

The thread is Here.

It Could be a spork.
It can be as long as you like.
And, it’s lighter than Ti.

You might try using an extender rather than a long-handled spork (or spoon). Has the advantage of breaking down into shorter components for easier packing. You can also custom tailor the length to suit your needs.

I’ve been using one for years. You can find the build instructions here.

Jim- that certainly looks like a good solution.

I haven't had a chance to get back and post what I came up with until tonight.

I already had this folding spork and someone gave me a folding spoon. I bent a section of wire coat hanger to the length I wanted and replaced the handle of the spork, I used the sliding tensioner from the spoon since I didn't like it anyway and put the tensioner on the new handle. I how have a long handle folding spork. I think I'll try a bike spoke for a little stronger handle, the wire from the coat hanger is easily bent.

once I get it all worked out, I'll post it in the MYOG with pics

thanks for everyones suggestions
