Use the coupon code '25offStPat' to get 25% off for one regular priced item at BackcountryGear.com. It's valid through St. Patricks Day.

Just ordered two items there, one (with the highest price) came with this discount.

They are accepting pre-orders for the NeoAir, and the 25% off works for that pre-order.

I was going to do it, but they are backordered thru early June, which is later than I want one.

EDIT: DANG! – Please Note: The promotion code you entered does not apply to the following brands: Western Mountaineering, Tarptent and Hilleberg.

They also have a great deal on the Marmot Scree Pants, 40% off down to $60. Sizes are M, L, XL (two colors of XL). I own a pair and have nothing but good things to say about them.

    Marmot sizing: http://marmot.com/size_chart?destination=spring_2009/mens/outerwear/pants/scree_pant/

I have a 29-30 inch waist and have a small (waist 28-30) that fits snug. I do not need to use suspenders or a belt to keep the pants up. Don't trust their height/size matrix. Measure yourself to find out. I wear the pants on my true waist (not where I wear my jeans, on my hips) or slightly below.

So it sounds like they run true to size.

I wonder how the Mica compares to event jackets.

Dana – me too, also in Eclipse. I couldn't help it at only $97. Hope it works as well as I'm expecting. It's only 1.5 ounces more than my bright yellow Dri Ducks jacket.

    Dan,

I've been eyeing it for a while now and couldn't pass up the $97 deal either. Goodbye Dri Ducks :)

Did you decide against the Essence?

I decided on the Mica since this deal made it $50 cheaper. :)

The Mica in Eclipse is not as bright as it may appear online. It's far more subdued than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice blue.

Note: The Essence on backcountrygear.com is last years heavier model…for those who are interested.

Have you tested it yet? How's it compare to other rain jackets?

I placed a pre-order for my regular sized NeoAir on March 7th and just called them after seeing the June ship date posted above. They said that the lengthy backorders are for the small size and that mine should ship in the middle of April.

They also agreed to tack on the 25% discount!!! Great to see another outdoor gear company with outstanding deals and customer service.

………The Marmot Mica Jacket on your recent order is unfortunately sold out for the season. I can delete this item from your order after confirming this with you. I apologize, as we were unaware of this availability issue.

Thanks for your order and your patience.

The only color they have available in medium is green, for any other color in medium i'd have to wait till June.

He said they were pretty popular.
