Any idea when you can start taking and filling orders of Vapr Bivys again? I really hope to get one for my 2009 PCT thru.

Consider MLD bivys. They make their stuff to order so it takes up to 8 weeks.
As fair warning BPL has not reached a point where they can accurately predict product availability very accurately. I know they’re trying, but I wouldn’t count on them for a thru without a plan B.
Definitely – you don't want to count on the Vapr's being in stock within a 4-month window. Seriously consider MLD. Having owned both, I prefer my MLD Soul.
My backup plan is the Titanium Goat Bivy. I will be using a tarp (Bivy not my primary rain protection) so I felt this was the better and much cheaper option. Anyone have experience with this Bivy?
Thank you for helping to answer these questions everyone. Backpacking Light does have a new bivy in the prototype stage at this time but it is not set for release for this hiking season.
I personally have had excellent success with my Mountain Laurel Designs Superlight Bivy and would recommend that as well as the Backpacking Light Vapr products. If you are considering a MLD product do plan far in advance however as the lead times can be quite high.
