I've been watching the Fuji F-series for some time because of it's ability to do high quality low light images in a point and shoot compact. The problem was the older models seemed to nail the low light pictures and the newer models such as the F100fd seemed to lose a little of that due to the higher pixel count. This new one looks like it might bridge the two together. I hadn't heard about the EXR technology until now; sounds very cool. What are your takes? Sound promising or is it marketing?

It seems to work. Some of the comparisons I've seen at dpreview show the F200 to be equal or even slightly better than the F31/30 for noise. Plus it has a much better zoom range and image stabilization. Sounds like a winner. Check out the Panasonic LX3 too if you haven't yet, it is even better for noise performance.
