How would a convertible tent fare versus a full on winter tent? I realize that a tent such as the Marmot Swallow is pretty heavy but appears to be not a lot heavier than a Hilleberg Keron or other model (excluding single wall tents and the Hilleberg Allak. I assume a convertible tent is not as bomber as a dedicated winter tent?

I don't think this question has any answer. The terms 'convertible' and 'winter' have little meaning once the spin doctors have been through. *Every* tent is utterly perfect – according to them. You need to look at each tent as an individual.Sorry: >40 C here today, and I am feeling very hot. :-)
