I do have Mamiya 7(2) with a couple of lens (although not ultra wide). I also have an old fully functional Zeiss Ikon 6 x 9 folder with a 105mm Tessar lens. Is there anything in between that could be considered as more suitable. Has anyone here any experience with the Fuji GW690III Pro?
Over at photo.net there are forums dedicated to medium format and this question is raised often in regard to hiking. http://photo.net/medium-format-photography-forum/
I also find it interesting that recent tests at http://www.dxomark.com have shown that the latest high-end DSLR bodies are comparing rather favorably in dynamic range, low light performance and color depth to medium format with digital backs. Of course, these are tests, not actual real-life use.
