My wife and i originaly bought a twin sisters shelter for our Iceland hike last summer.
We really like having a floorless shelter and we have been using it a lot since.

However i just ordered a kifaru paratipi :

– it will give me a bit more headroom for cooking inside.
1m40 ie the max i can get with a trekking pole

– i plan to bring once in a while on short winter trip a titanium goat stove.

– perhaps the most important : the space between the 2 poles is enough so i can use a bug shelter for 2.
our next planned hikes this year are : half the cape Wrath trail in Scotland, and the ACT in Greenland so mosquitoes midges and noseeum will be a concern

– the base weight is just a tad more than the twin sisters ( i used 9 to 13 pegs for it depending on wind in Iceland so the 14 of the para tipi isnt that much more )

they are a few heavyweight 2 persons bug shelter from integral design, granite gear etc..
but i think i only found one person lightweight bug shelter shaped like the serenity bug shelter from MLD.
i checked the other leightweight company thati know off :
– Oware, Six moons and Gossamer gear, all have some solo bug shelter

but i found no 2 person bug shelter looking like the MLD serenity shelter, ( the 2 ends in nanoseeum would be better but it wouldnt matter that much if its silnylon )

did i miss one before i loose my sanity trying to sew a custom one :) ??
